Yggdrasil is Almost Ready for Renewal Testing

We are launching the long awaited Renewal update on our Renewal Test server : Yggdrasil! The launch will commence later today or tomorrow with maintenance, if everything continues to go as planned.

Yggdrasil will show up under Ymir if you launch the Ragnarok.exe client, but you will crash at character select using the "normal" client.

Yggdrasil and later all servers require a new client to be installed to a separate location from your normal RO folder. There is no "patch up" option for renewal due to the size and complexity of the update. As soon as the client is available for download we will make messages across the forums and websites announcing their location.

Yggdrasil will become our 2nd Premium server once Renewal testing is complete, any character created there for testing will be reset to 1/1 Novice when we switch to commercial service. So test Renewal and reserve your name!

This will be a very compact testing season for Renewal, so any bugs found please let us know by ticket and the Renewal Bug Board as well.
